Welcome to Discovery Architectural Antiques, the one stop shop for "Old House" Restoration as well as "New Home" architectural embellishments.  We try to stock nearly everything from flooring to bath tubs, from doorknobs to tin ceiling, and antique beams to quality stained glass.  No where else will you see such a full spectrum of products with this variety of inventory at such reasonable prices.  While we won't generally carry the highest end or the lowest end of the spectrum, we do carry one of the best stocks of products to be found for people building or remodeling homes in the $200,000-$20,000,000 price range.  We hope this web page provides you with a glimpse of what we have to offer but please realize, it is only a taste and the best way to see it all is come and visit.

Discovery Architectural Antiques is the largest operation of its kind in the Southern USA. We stock nearly everything imaginable that can be salvaged from old homes and buildings including antique stained glass, doors, windows, flooring, siding, beams, shiplap, posts, lighting, tin ceiling, tubs, sinks, and one of the best collections of Antique door hardware to be found anywhere. We have over 130,000 square feet of inventory under roof, the main showrooms alone take up five buildings in downtown Gonzales, Texas. We hope this web page will help give you some idea of what we have but please realize, since we have well over a million items in stock, it only shows a tiny sample of what we offer at any moment in time.

We are a family owned company that was started 8 years ago with the goal of providing a wide variety of old house parts and pieces including nearly everything one would need to either build a new house to look old or restore an old one. 

Most of our customers are amazed at how much inventory we have on hand by how well organized and clean we keep our main showrooms.  It is a sizable task given the scope of our operations. We aim to please and can custom cut your antique beams, mill flooring to your specs or create trim and frames for some of the 5,000 doors we keep in stock.  No one else in Texas comes anywhere close to having either the selection or the service that we have to offer.

Brad Kittel and Suzanne Kittel are the owners and have had years of experience specializing in brokering "Old Houses" as well as revitalizing dozens of homes before starting this business.  Brad Kittel won the Entrepreneur of the Year award in 1994 and numerous revitalization awards during his career in Austin, Texas after which they moved to Gonzales in order to be able to acquire the massive storefront and warehouse space it would take to make this operation possible.
